i'm here with former u.s. Congressman Tim Ryan. He's also the president's CEO of Celtic Consulting. He's written a couple of books. He's one of the few Democrats these days that I think gets it. I think he's one of the faces of the future of the party. Welcome, sir. Thanks for having me. Good to see you again.

I loved listening

0:55.6

to you on Morning Joe the other week because I had the same visceral reaction when I saw Chuck Schumer,

Maxie Waters and Elizabeth Warren, you know, going, yay, we're going to win protests in front of

the U.S. Treasury. I was like, this is not, this, this has got to change. This,

1:12.5

this party has lost. There are no leaders out there. And this certainly can no longer be the

1:18.0

faces of the party in any way, shape, and form. Yeah. No, just, you know, and I, I don't tweet a ton,

routine, and it's not worked, it's not working. And to think we're going to keep going down

1:37.7

that road, I think is pretty depressing. So what's a matter, you know, the Democrats' message right now is picking at the things that are wrong with Trump.

1:46.3

And there's no alternative at this point. There's nothing they stand for. There's no, okay, well, if you don't like Trump, if this doesn't work out for over the next two years, here's what we got. And so let me put you in charge of that. Where did they go? Well, I think you got to pick your fights. I think they're scattershot. I mean, again, I was in

and fighting global pandemic, all that stuff. Set that aside. Are we dying on the hill of USAID

2:26.4

in Youngstown, Ohio, where people are? Better not be. Better not be. No, well, I mean, that's how the

2:32.0

whole fight the last two weeks has been USAID, you know, and it's like, we don't have enough to eat, we're not making ends made here in America, and Democrats are dying on the hill of sending our money abroad, and then you're explaining stuff, you know, and then you're losing.
