This is John Batstra, conversation with my good friend Lorenzo Fiore of the Insadler Foundation about Sardinia, an invitation from the Sardinian authorities for backpackers, hikers, under 35 who can stay three nights for free hiking along

Hiking pass extend all the way up around the winding coast,

filled with abandoned mines, 2,000 yearold mines, large cuts in the side.

Well, this is another beautiful area,

I went there many years ago with a friend of mine who was living in the Valierie, which is the most important town of Sardinia, the capital of Sardinia.

It's the southwest. And I remember at that time I could drive many miles on gravel road

passing through abandoned mines, plenty of green of trees that are typical of the Mediterranean vegetation.

And I can tell you that there is a beautiful road that goes in the inner land and arrive at the very remote area where there is a Roman temple, the temple of Antas in the middle of the Cork Forest.

I have a beautiful memory of that area and I do recommend everybody to go there.
