Lakers needed to talk a little bit about the closing lineup. That's right, not the starting lineup, but the closing lineup today. I want to get into that, plus a little bit of news about, oh, that guy named Kyrie Irving, as though we haven't heard enough about him. Joining me today is Ron Gutterman from Lakersnation.com. Ron, how are you doing? Doing all right. Yeah, just kind of waiting for this season to start. It's, you know, this is the dog days of August, but it is, it has been quiet for sure. Well, and it's tough too because all of the trade stuff feels like it's still out there. You know, there's just, there hasn't been a lot of movement. We get some rumors every now and then kind of some little whispers here and there. But it just doesn't feel like there's that sense of urgency at the moment for any of the teams. Maybe training camp will provide that. What's that, once that starts to come up, but that's end of September. So we could be in for the long haul in terms of this, this staring contest that's going

on despite how frustrated it's made NBA fans.

Yeah.

And I think the Lakers are in a particularly rough spot because they're in sort of a desperation

mode to make a trade, but they can't make a trade until the two bigger dominoes fall in

Kevin Durant and Donovan Mitchell. So they're kind of

just sitting there like, we need to make a trade, but the only people that will trade with us are

not going to trade with us until these trades go down first. It's a very difficult situation for

the Lakers to be in for sure. It really does feel like every single move that we've heard,

whether it's the Utah move, the Knicks move, the Nets move for Kyrie, these are all held up by other trades that have to happen first with the exception of the Pacers move.

That's the only move.

Like if Jeannie Bus went to Rob Polinka right now and said, that's it.

I can't have Russell Westbrook on this roster for one more day.

You need to trade him right now.

Indiana is really the only option.
