Speaking of throwing talent on something, Brian, another edition, some big breaking news that happened that really got confirmed last night.

Jason O'Nei was granted a six year of eligibility from the NCAA, which is just absolutely huge for Notre Dame's defensive tackle unit.

Really big for the defensive line, big for the leadership on the team.

And I'm excited to watch 47 back on the defensive line in 2026.

Absolutely huge that he's coming back to South Bend.

It is.

Honestly, Trevor, I wasn't overly optimistic that this was going to happen.

You know, it was one of those things where the NCAA has really been trying to crack down on just the absurd things being done for eligibility.

The latest being some moron judge in Tuscaloose, Alabama, I'm sure that was an impartial jurist, announces that a kid that has signed three G league contracts, hasn't played college

basketball in two, three years, has been a professional for two years, is now eligible to come

back to Alabama. Now, there's like a 10-day window where he could maybe play one game against

Tennessee before the next ruling, but this is all getting so dumb.

And the NCAA is trying to kind of crack down on some of this stuff.

It's all going to be determined by, you know, judges and things like that.

And I lost faith in the Onee thing when they initially ruled Trinidad Chambliss out because, you know,

he was claiming sort of a mental health issue that cost him basically a season, even though he played more in four games, which is very similar to Jason O'Nean situation. But when you read the specifics of Trinidad Chambliss's situation and what the NCAA pushed back on, and it gave me a little bit of hope, just a little bit. Somebody asked me last night, you know, one out of ten, what were you, what were you thinking he was going to come back?

I said, probably three, maybe four.

But my little bit of hope came because they said, look, there was no, I'm paraphrasing

from reading it, there was no like immediate documentation that he was suffering through

the things he's now claiming he's suffering through.

And the school he was out at the time was not really at the time open, you know,

like saying it was the case, it's kind of retroactive stuff.
