legends Henry Fonda and Jane Fonda, respectively.

He died today of

cancer at the age of 79. Peter Fonda of course made his own name as a writer and star of the

1969 counterculture classic Easy Rider in which he, Dennis Hopper, and Jack Nicholson played motorcyclists on a trip of more than one kind.

He subsequently garnered a Best Actor Oscar nomination for the 1997 film Ullies Gold and as you'll hear in this

conversation that he and I recorded at the TCM Classic Film Festival on March

27th 2015 just a few months before this podcast was established, he was a smart, funny, and charming

guy who will be most. To begin with, I have to ask you because I know part of this a big part of this your

involvement this year is paying tribute to your father and fonda so even though it's a very open-ended question,

I'm curious, what was like growing up

as the son of Henry Fonda?
