My guest today is Steve Roberts.

He's a professor at George Washington University's author of a new memoir about his wife,

Koki Roberts.

The book, which is called Koki, a life well lit, looks back at her career.

Their travels together and what her legacy means for other women.

And frankly, when I'm going to bug them about, also for his own family.

Steve shared a career in journalism with Koki working at both the New York Times and

US News and World Report.

And as a professor at GW, Steve has had a huge influence on how politics is covered today.

He's taught scores of students who went on to become some of the top journalists and reporters

across Washington.

And let's just say he's had a huge influence at McThePress.

Well, I'm thrilled Chuck and you're right.

I've had a lot of students circulate through MTP over the years and given very kind to

a lot of them.

You've had multiple arcs of your, I mean, yes, you've been in a journalism, you've been

in and around journalism your whole career.

But you've had different sort of touchstones or how would you describe them?
