Summary
You're on a bridge with Him, too.
Just like I was yesterday.
And that's why you feel anxious.
That's why you have this dis-ease about you.
You don't know what you'll find when you get to the other side.
But you know you're in the midst of change,
and you have to trust that just like me,
when you get over (t)here,
even though that fear is present,
you'll be saying,
'Thank you, God,"
"Thank you, Jesus."
I can't tell you how many times I said that while taking pictures of damage.
People would think I was crazy,
but I know we were spared.
But it was just enough damage to move me more towards moving on from there.
It's been five years, and I've had that impulse for more than a year.
Something is speaking to you (t)here, too.
You're in the midst of change.
You're in the midst of your answered prayer.
Even if it looks like everything you don't want, right now.
He's making everything new.
But miracles start as problems.
They start as storms that you learn to trust in Him to calm.
I can hear Him now--
Remain calm through these changes.
Be patient,
which means be Love.
Love through these changes.
Be the Light for everyone around you through these changes,
calm them with His calmness,
with His peace,
that He has given you.
You already been given The Gift.
That's the real Miracle.
You already have It.
And the more you cherish It,
and nurture It,
and pray to It,
and sing to It,
dance with It,
the more It shows Itself...
sometimes you can even whisper to It,
Show yourself,
show yourself.
And watch. : )
I Love you,
nik

QUOTES
"God is trying to lead you somewhere new. Do you feel it? The pull in your spirit. The desire to up and run. The strange feeling that things can't remain the same. The fear...the change. It might feel scary and unsettling. You might be unsure, but don't be. He's leading you somewhere new, and it'll be marvelous. Push through the fear and get excited. A new beginning is on the horizon!" - @Godlywaiting
"The God who restores is coming. It'll make up for the time lost. It'll make up for every tears shed. Get used to smiling. Get used to laughter. This will feel new. Some of you won't even know how to react. It's going to look so beautiful on you. I see your brokenness turning into something so beautiful, people will know that heaven touched your pain and birthed miracles."

| 0:00.0 | The So, Good morning. God morning to you. I got the text yesterday at 4 p.m. that the island was open to business owners and |
| 0:37.8 | residents to come and assess the damage to start cleaning up And so I left my son and my father here at the hotel and my |
| 0:47.8 | daughter and my mother and I got in my truck and re-rolled over the bridge which should have taken 10 minutes but it was like an hour |
| 0:56.8 | because of all the traffic and there was a checkpoint to make sure we were actually residents |
| 1:01.3 | and I remember feeling nervous pulling up to the police officer and handing |
| 1:05.8 | in my ID and him looking at it and me asking him is it bad? |
| 1:11.1 | And he said, oh yeah, it's bad. And that familiar pit, you know, in my stomach that I've had since I was a little girl, I used to get it on the way to school. I didn't like going to school. I didn't like going to school. I didn't like being forced to socialize being forced to human. |
| 1:25.9 | That same stomach ache was present, but I was practicing. |
| 1:30.7 | I wasn't chanting or praying anything actively. |
| 1:33.6 | It was just all the prayer of the heart. |
| 1:36.3 | I was just filling God, like thanking God |
| 1:40.4 | without thanking God, fully present in the moment not already at my house. |
| 1:46.6 | My mom had the windows down. |
| 1:48.1 | She was recording the ghost town nature of the island, even though there were other cars, it was so empty. There was debris everywhere. |
| 1:57.3 | There was a waterline on every building and has returned on to our street. There were like 50 mattresses that were pulled out of a hotel, all covered in mud. |
| 2:08.0 | People standing outside of their homes with a garage door open and the back door open out to the water, couches, chairs, |
| 2:15.6 | debris like trees, everything just like piled up, waiting to be picked up. And so |
| 2:21.9 | finally we get in front of our place and we're happy that it's all in one piece. |
| 2:27.6 | The structure is still there, the roof is still on, and as we go to open the front door, we can't. And so we look in like through the glass a little bit and we can see that this bench that we keep our shoes in by the front door is no longer where it usually is on the other side of the entryway. |
| 2:45.0 | So clearly water got in and moved this very heavy bench, a bench I can barely move myself. |
| 2:51.0 | And we thought it was blocking the door door but it wasn't. The door had |
| 2:53.7 | swole like it was swollen and we couldn't open it so I went across the way, found a |
