that we're going to turn over every stone and convey every detail available in the public arena.

But what this is really about, isn't it, is going further than that?

Yes. Letting the fans tell us in the lapsed fan solar system the

most well-attuned kind of sharp and perceptive fan base in the wrestling world

what it was that this meant to them as fans because that's what this

podcast is about it's not about trying to cozy up to buddy up to people in the

business it's about trying to make bonds with fans of the

business who feel a certain degree of shame and pain about that fandom and need to

you know sort of yes commiserate around that reality and so in that spirit we've got no

shortage of nitro recollections do we not we have a plethora a plethora of recollections and you know it's kind of interesting in a weird way

at least you know when you think about it in in a

at least the modern you know nationwide wrestling world this is for a lot of people that breaking point of becoming a lapsed fan. Well, makes sense, right? This was that last idea that promised to reverse course on what seemed to be slowing

momentum for the W. W.F you know the Austin run is ending and what it

shouldn't have been ironic of him winning the championship too.

It also runs ending as he wins the championship for a fourth or fifth or whatever time.

But in a new birth is a heel now actually aligned with Vince McMahon, which absolutely nobody

was asking for.

And so yeah, it would make sense that this was the last time a generation of fans gave the W. W. W. F. really as the conqueror of W.C.W. a chance to make

them care again, to let them care again and were summarily let down.

So, of course, as we should be, as we deserve to be.
