Well, our scriptural text today comes from Ephesians chapter 5, verse 10 through 16, breathing from the new living translation.

Notice in the word of the Lord, carefully determine what pleases the Lord.

Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness.

Instead, expose them.

It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in

secret but their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them for the light

makes everything visible that's why it is said awake oh sleeper rise from, rise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.

So be careful how you live.

Don't live like fools, but like those who are wise.

Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.

And I'm speaking today simply from the subject,

redeem the time.

Redeem the time.

In all honesty, God is the only one who can redeem time

because he's the only one who's not subject to it.

So he's a great redeemer.

Now we do our best to try to redeem time through creams and Botox and facelifts and, you know,

wigs and special sprays and all kind of stuff.

You know, we try everything that we can to try to redeem the time.

But even though you put lipstick on a pig, you're still

pork in it. And so we have to be able to trust God to be able to do what we cannot do we really do I

know the new living translation says here make the most of every opportunity in these evil
