So I'll speak with the author of the book, The End of Policing, criminologist Alex Vitale.

with recent news. The NYPD officer who killed Eric Garner, Daniel Pantaleo, it turns out they're

not going to bring federal charges against him. They've decided to drop that.

And, of course, people will recall that after Garner's death by choking,

I Can't Breathe became like a rallying cry of against police brutality and for Black Lives Matter.

And anyway, I just want to get your thoughts on the fact these charges have all been dropped now.
