Tonight I talk with Jan Weinberg, the founder of Show Up America,

an independent organization to promote civic engagement in

communities across the country. He's also a very impressive, long-time peace activist, and he's also

very informed about issues such as trade deals like the TPP, which may actually be coming back to life.

Anyway, I had planned to do a normal 15-minute interview with Jan, but unfortunately, he knew too much.

And, you know, as a host, it's the worst thing that can happen.

You hope to have some idiot in here for a few minutes,

and then you can, you know, fucking go on with your day.

But no, this guy knew too much.

Basically, I had no choice but to have Jan for the full half hour,

and I think you'll pretty quickly realize

why that had to happen.
