I talk a lot on this show about our endless wars, right?

I talk about our insane military empire. I do a lot of that.

But every once in a while, it's a good idea to talk a little bit about solutions, right?

How do we get to peace? Why are we endlessly bombing and assaulting other countries?

Today it was my honor to talk with a member of the group that just won the

Nobel Peace Prize, the international campaign to abolish nuclear weapons. Her name is Diane

Perlman, and she's also a psychologist with the school for conflict analysis and resolution at George Mason University.

Thank you so much for inviting me.

So you were in a group that won the Nobel Peace Prize, part of the international campaign

to abolish nuclear weapons.

And I want to hear what that experience is like, what the Nobel Peace Prize means,

whether maybe they're trying to clean up their image after giving it to Henry Kissinger

and some other war criminals.

But, you know, what's that mean to you?
