I think when you have a chance at the playoffs, a real chance, even if it's not the

chance you were hoping to have, or even the chance that we had a month ago, that's not something

you take lightly.

And, you know, we wanted to do what we could to bolster that chance

and still do the right things for the organization. And at the end of the day, we weren't going to

force anything that didn't fit those goals.

All right, again, that's high and blue from the trading deadline.

A couple of days ago talking about the decision making of the Red Sox as they entered the stretch run here of the 2022 season.

And again, that whole comment, right, that whole comment of, well, you don't want to take anything lightly.

If you have a chance at the playoffs, you do not want to take that lightly.

We didn't want to force anything that was going to take away from those goals. Is that kind of hollow, Jim Murray? Isn't that hollow? Yeah, feels it. When you say that, you know, you don't want to take the opportunity to make the playoffs lightly, you don't want to do that. yet I don't feel like the Red Sox really did anything to improve their team.

They added a couple of pieces on the cheap. At very best, they went sideways. I heard you used that term last night with Jared Karabas. And I agree. I don't think that they got any better. But at the very best, they just went sideways. Yeah. So look, again, and now there are all types of other issues that have popped up with High in Bloomier

at this trading deadline, most specifically, the connection between him and his clubhouse,
