Hey this is Patrick Coffin.

Most people are familiar with the metaphor of the pills from the 1999 movie, The Matrix.

In the movie, the Hero Neo, played by Keanu Reeves, is offered a blue pill, which means he'll continue in his basic sleepwalking state unaware of the matrix in which he's embedded this giant artificial software

or he can take the red pill which means his eyes will be open

and he'll be able to see things as they really are

he'll see the matrix as shocking and difficult as it is to accept. Now some confusion has set in about

the meaning of these pills. For example, the red pill has now been co-opted and turned into

a conspiracy theory term or something that signals

that you are an alt-right misogynist or whatever.

In my recent interview with Rousche V, we talked about the various forms of pills that he took in his journey from pickup artist

guru inside the Manosphere and at conferences helping young men effectively seduce and

exploit women all the way to his conversion or reconversion to Christ

and to the sweetness of chastity. So with a hat-tip to Roosh, it seems to me that

on the Christian worldview there are seven pills or stages of life's journey.

The first is what I'll call the brown pill.

It's the fallen human nature that you and I were born with.

It's not only incomplete and deprived, but in some

sense, it's depraved. Now brown is only barely a color, and the most famous brown thing is shit so there you go you don't want to stay

too long in the brown pill zone now if you're baptized in the normal way that God has

arranged that is when you're an infant, you get the second pill, the white pill of grace,

white being a symbol of purity and godliness.

So you go from the brownish creature to the whitish son or daughter of God, which is great.
