We haven't had Gerard Martinez USC Football.com, national recruiting analyst in

along on the show in quite a while, but is on now what's up Gerard how you doing?

That's really spectacular Ryan Abraham. How about you? I'm doing it. I'm a little under the weather so I couldn't do our normal intro, but thanks for jumping in there and doing that for me. We haven't had you on a while, man. There's not a whole lot of recruiting going on I guess

yeah I got your back man no worries yeah hasn't been a lot of recruiting going on

for USC in the past couple of months and we pretty much predicted that coming away from July

with such a hectic summer with all the commitments and USC getting the 18

commitments by the end of July you kind of knew they were going to be a lull and there's been a lull with the

recruiting process and not just with 2013 but you know even the 2014 class the class of

juniors the USC really wanted to focus on the season really wanted to focus on kind of

setting the tone a little bit getting a feel for going into that second half of the

season and as we get into these important games and we get closer to November

that's when you're going to see the recruiter process pick up and and not just for

USC in terms of evaluations with the junior prospects and other uncommitted

prospects still looking at USC in 2013 class, but those

kids that are committed to USC taking official visits and that's what gets the drama going
