It is election eve. Here on the beat as well, I'm Ari Melver. We have special coverage

for you tonight with campaign guru James Carville kicking off the show. We have the music.

I'll see you in a second, James. And we have the final numbers heading into this election

day. Democrats are catching up to Republicans in one measure. Voter enthusiasm. That's from

the final NBC poll. It closes at 9.5. As we see strong interests across both parties.

The fact is the 22 midterms now have surging turnout. On election eve in the last midterms,

the energize 2018 referendum on Trump. There was a record breaking turnout of 38 million

early votes. That is now topped by this final pre-election set of numbers over 42 million

people already voting. These are the early vote numbers. 38 million was the record with

4 million more. The new record is 42 million. That is more M's to quote the new Drake

album. Candidates are hoping to turn out surge will help them avoid losses or else. As

21 Savage says, when you're taking less L's, you're making more M's. And it takes a

lot of M's to tally these votes. Tonight the president is hitting Maryland where they're

trying to build on this early surge of interest to get everyone out on Tuesday tomorrow.

Democrats, I and the governor's mansion there. Meanwhile, over in Ohio, Donald Trump campaigning

for his one time critic turned apparent supporter J. E. Vance running for Senate. All this action

comes after three different presidents. Current and past showed up in Pennsylvania. Another

state that could decide the Senate candidates, meanwhile pitching their closing arguments.

Truth and facts and logic and reason and basic decency are on the ballot. John Federman

can't work with other people. He doesn't even like the moderates in his own party.
