Summary

Is the warrior in us to blame for the division we see in today’s society? Yes...and no. Join me for an in-depth look at the warrior archetype. I cover its modes, its shadow, and why—and this might surprise you—it’s one of the best archetypes we have. From the warrior, we can light the fires of focus, develop clean anger instead of unhealthy aggression, set boundaries instead of borders, and leverage our unique capabilities to bring about positive change inside and outside. At the end, I detail several actionable steps you can take to cultivate and reclaim the warrior. Let me know your takeaways! Contact me on Insta @mantalks or leave a rating and review! Welcome to the Man Talk Show, Training for Men, Answers for Women. I'm Connor Beaton, and today

0:17.8

we're going to talk about reclaiming your warrior and the shadow of your

0:21.8

warrior. So I've wanted to talk about this because one of the most popular series that I did

0:29.0

about, I think about last year, about a year and a half ago, was a four-part series about the

0:36.2

king warrior loverician archetypes.

0:39.4

And I've recently been talking a lot about ending the war on yourself,

0:45.6

that a lot of us are sabotaging in our life,

0:49.5

that we are sabotaging because the warrior within us is out of control, right?

0:55.8

Part of us is constantly going to war with ourselves.

1:00.1

And we can see this when our inner critic is out of control, when we feel like we are

1:06.0

attacking ourselves verbally, mentally, emotionally, sometimes, you know, in physical ways where we drink

1:13.4

too much or we, you know, do too many drugs, or we are excessive in our porn consumption or

1:20.0

sexual predilections. And so in this way, when we feel like we are out of control and we are

1:26.4

doing harm to ourselves or attacking ourselves in some way, it we feel like we are out of control and we are doing harm to ourselves or attacking

1:28.5

ourselves in some way, it is the warrior within us that is unruly, that is untamed and untrained.

1:36.3

And so this episode is going to be a deep dive into a little bit about what the warrior is,

1:42.8

the shadow of the warrior.

1:45.2

And then I'm going to talk about ending this war on yourself.

1:49.0

And this really, this is for men and women alike.

1:52.6

But guys, I'm going to, man, I'm really going to specifically focus in on you.

1:56.5

And ladies, you can take a lot from this as this is sort of a universal, right?

2:02.3

We all have a warrior archetype within us, but this is going to be a very masculine approach to this.
