Summary

On today’s show, Dane reacts to Saturday’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers and recaps the weekend’s back to back. We start by taking a lay of the land 12 games into the season, noting how the Wolves defense has crashed to the bottom of the league in November while the offense just has not been able to take steps forward. We also discuss how much the broken roster construction is impacting the perception of Chris Finch while the losses pile up. And we discuss how the Clippers again used their blueprint for slowing down Karl-Anthony Towns, and how teams around the league may use this blueprint nightly against the Wolves until the shooting surrounding KAT comes around. Also some stray notes on Jaden McDaniels biggest offensive output of the season in a new role off the bench. And finally we look ahead to Monday’s matchup against the Phoenix Suns. Clippers at Staples Center this weekend's back-to-back at Staples was a tale of

0:28.6

of course very different games this year I'm only recording shows after the second game

of back-to-back.

0:44.6

So, of course, it worked out that it was no show after the 24-point win over the Lakers on Friday and now a show tonight that I have to do after a 27-point loss to the Clippers.

0:49.8

It just wasn't even close even by halftime.

0:54.2

I'm sitting there just watching the win on Friday thinking, of course.

1:00.1

I started doing these post game podcasts last season after every game.

1:06.3

So I did 72 games, all 72 games last season, recording right afterwards, and then 10, the first 10

1:12.8

games this season, do them after every single game. So it's 82 games, and I think they've won

1:17.1

something like 29 of those, those games. So naturally, the first one that I don't do is a blowout

1:24.2

win over the Lakers. But here we are.

1:28.4

We'll still do a show off of this game.

1:30.9

And I kind of want to just start by taking the lay of the land, I guess, here.

1:36.1

After the first 12 games of the season, the wolves are obviously four and eight now.

1:41.3

In the league-wide standings, only five teams have a worse record than the wolves do.

1:46.2

That's Houston, New Orleans, Orlando, Detroit, and Atlanta, which is interesting because the only real surprise there, right, is Atlanta at four and nine.

1:56.9

And generally speaking, the teams that have been really bad this season are the teams, you know, we came into the year thinking would be really bad, right?

2:05.5

Houston, New Orleans, Orlando, Detroit, like they weren't going to be good and haven't been good.

2:11.3

So the question I have is, you know, do the wolves fit that mold?

2:15.8

And the case against it is that, you know, that case says that the wolves
