We were looking at the weather, talking about the cold that's coming in here in a few days.

2:06.4

Just kind of curious to kick off, what's the coldest you've ever been hunting in?

2:11.7

What's the worst weather or the coldest weather you've been in out in the stand or the woods or whatever well i've never

2:18.7

been asked that publicly like you just asked on the private side uh i've been through all kind

2:24.2

of various weathers you know all my life especially hunting for our television show back in the day

2:29.1

but one of the coldest days i've ever had was in Kansas of all places after Christmas and it was

2:36.9

negative 18 and so trying to bow hunt uh in negative 18 uh as his own challenges in that particular

2:45.6

day here a few years ago uh I think the daytime high only got like three or four degrees the whole time.

2:52.1

So we made about three or four hours at minus 18.

2:56.2

We got out of the truck.

2:58.2

I tell people, I never knew that Chevrolet trucks ever had minus on the mirror, you

3:05.5

know, as far as a degree.

3:07.3

Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Never forget. I, Our camera guy, David Ward, he's sitting there and we get to where we're going to hunt, pitch black, dark. And I said, I want you to look at this up here on this mirror. It had minus 18, negative 18. So that was one of the coldest days, but I've had a lot of sub-zero and windy days, you know, in my hunting career. Can you feel the bow enough to execute in that weather? I mean, I obviously just playing sports. I know like I was a pitcher in high school, like playing holding a baseball or something would be very complicated. So what is it like with the fine motor skills of a bow at that point? No, it's a good question. All your muscles contracting. Obviously you got a lot of clothes which, you know, if you're, what if you're a pound pull, you're pulling with a bow, it becomes almost that much more complicated, you know, for us pulling it back. And, you know, some people, I've never had to do this, but might let three or four pounds off their bow,

3:58.0

you know, for as the drop, and they'll put the pool. But it does, it does affect you. And one thing that I learned early on, uh, bo hunting and cold weather, uh, even though you're not seeing deal, a lot times I'd reach with my bow and just pull it and stretch my arm, just about like warming up. you know, your legs are right before you throw a baseball.

3:56.5

So the bow is kind of the same way. I just kept, you know, two or three times an hour in a non-hunting situation. Maybe nothing was there. I just reach up, pull my bow back just to keep my muscles in tune with it. Have you been out much? Have you done much hunting this season so far?

4:32.7

You know, I really haven't.

4:34.0

You know, my daughter plays softball and we play in the fall here in Georgia.

4:38.8

And, of course, obviously she'll be at Ole Miss next year.
