Welcome into the lounge presented by Draft Kings. I'm Ryan Mink here with Garrett Downing.

And it has been a very busy day. You woke up this morning, Garrett, saying, all right,

8 o'clock, schedule's coming out. And then we got the news of a contract extension with

Derek Henry. So a little appetizer on NFL schedule

release day. We are going to give you our reaction to the full schedule as well as hold our

travel draft, which I know a lot of listeners are waiting for. But before we get to that, we have to

break down this Derek Henry contract extension. I think it's a rule that Eric

Takasa has that big moves happen when there's also other really busy things are taking place.

The ultimate was when he signed the contract extension with Lamar Jackson on draft day.

Yeah. And so this one isn't quite to that level, but it added a little wrinkle into the afternoon plans here.

And so it's exciting. I mean, like in all seriousness, this is one that Eric has talked about

a couple of times over the course of the off season and mentioned the possibility of getting

a deal done with Derek. But sometimes you never know if, like, is that ultimately going to come

to fruition or not

but i just think that Derek came in here his first season did was we all had high expectations

he surpassed my expectations yeah but both he surpassed everybody's expectations i think everybody

who's like front office fans teammates everybody. On and off the field.

Everybody was like, this guy's unbelievable.

And then, like, he gets on the field and he does things that, like, he's all right, like,

he's a Hall of Fame running back and he's still playing at that level.

And so he was a difference maker for the offense.

A huge reason why the Ravens had one of the best offenses the NFL has ever seen.
