After moving up to the number one pick to get their number one quarterback, the Panthers have now invested and found their number one running back. That is Miles Sanders, Philadelphia Eagles, on a four-year $25 million contract, $13 million guaranteed.

Hayden, we've talked about this with David Montgomery.

We've talked about this with the running back signings.

$13 million since 2020 is about the second largest guaranteed money.

This is locking in Miles Sanders to me as the lead

ball carrier on the Panthers for not just 2023, but also 2024. Yeah, what did you say? Two years,

$13 million. That's only $6.5 million. I think we're at the point where we can't freak out over

these running back contracts. And I think even though Miles Sanders isn't a complete player, I think that I like this contract for them. It was a complete empty spot.

Chuba Hubbard can go into a little bit of a passing down role. But when I went back into this,

Deuce Staley, who's obviously the running backs coach there, I looked back at Miles Sanders season

and how he was used back with Duce Daly.

And the one difference is he was catching passes those years.

And obviously, that's probably because Jalen Hertz is he wasn't going to catch a whole bunch of passes with Jalen Hertz in the last couple of years.

But Duce Staley has had a little bit of experience trusting Miles Sanders.

And I was a little bit fearful at first going into my research with this because Miles Sanders, DeAndre Swift, kind of similar skill sets and weakness and stuff.

But I'm guessing that Deuce Staley was the one that brought him in.
