It's the Big Blue Banter, New York Giants Football Podcast. I'm Dan Schneier. It's always my coach, Nick Falado. We are almost here. We're almost that week one of the NFL season. I know those of you, some of you have asked, are we going to preview the Vikings game? We will. That'll come game day week, though. That's Wednesday or Thursday of game day week. I'm looking right now into getting a guest for that show. Those are always fun at the beginning of the year. We're also going to have some shows coming up, bold predictions, our record predictions, things looking forward to the season. But today's show is about our reaction to the giant's initial, 53-man roster. So Nick, and there's a little one thing I'm going to add in here. I don't know if those who've seen it, but Tyler Dunn wrote a deep, deep article reporting on Joe Shane

and his general manager tenure.

There are some wild quotes in that article, so we'll get to one of those a little bit

later.

That's a little tease for now.

But as we go through this, we're seeing live tweets from Dan Duggan, who is at Giants

practice and can give us updates on if things

change within the Giants initial 53 man roster. Bryce Ford Wheaton has changed his number to 88.

That's the first thing I see, which gives up six, but again, I think Jamie Gillen has number

six. I think Malik neighbors want six Knicks, but Nick, but I don't know if he's

going to get it. I want it 88 for Malik Neighbors, so I'm a little disappointed by that, but I am excited for Price Ford Weedon who made the roster. What was your initial reaction to the reveal of the 53-man roster? I didn't have too many crazy takeaways. We weren't spot on, which sucks. There were some players who ended up getting released or going through waivers, however you want to really say no Giants were claimed at all. And the Giants claimed one player. And that was Anthony Johnson Jr. a safety from Green Bay, 2023 7th round draft pick out of Iowa State. Actually, soon I'll be having a breakdown, hit the channel on him.

I've watched a couple of his games.
