Dylan Mingo has pledged to Hubert Davis in the Tar Heels.

Mingo has been pretty much a consensus top 10 player in the rankings this year.

Number one point guard, he's 6'5, he's 190.

He attends high school at Long Island Lutheran, so another one of those uh new york kids that hubert davis has always coveted

but mingo again very lanky like we usually do on these shows i want to tee it up to

the carolina class honestly you know they started off watching him back at peach jam and june

they watched him in mbpa that's where the offer came at that's the mbpa top 100 camp it was down

He played really well, got kind of rave reviews.

And then when Peace Jam, he wasn't fully healthy.

I'm not sure exactly if that's the same injury that he has now, but he didn't play a ton

at Peace Jam.

So from there, Carolina, again, it's like those LeBron James chase down blocks.

No one really had Carolina and Mingo as being a thing heading into August when players started setting their official visits and cutting their list and all that.

I think what this Carolina staff has really gotten good at is recognizing
