Looking in the mirror, she felt feminine and she felt pretty.

Living in mostly sweatpants for the last year and a half, it had been a long time since she had seen herself like this, and she felt human again.

To make all this even better, the dress was a steal. She immediately purchased it and hung it with great anticipation in her closet.

With her carefully applied makeup, smooth, curled hair, and shimmering green dress, Lily was radiant on the night of the dance.

She basked in the double-takes and stairs she received as she entered the hotel.

It had been so long since she thought of flirting or had been a center of attention and it felt really good.

One handsome man in particular paid close attention to Lily and they danced nearly every dance together.
