So today is a very important day in RCT because we begin an entirely new section in the Roman

Catechism of Trent.

We just finished part one.

The creed was part one.

Part one of this whole series, part one of the whole catechism

in the 16th century. We spent 48 podcasts on it, 48 videos. Now we begin part two, which is the

sacraments. Today we're going to do something a little different for the first several minutes.

I'm going to explain in my own words the connection between faith

and the sacraments. And then the second half of this video, I'm just going to read you the catechism

without interruption. So we've talked about this before, but it's really important. So listen again,

why the faith has to come before the sacraments chronologically and in the life of a Christian.

It's basically because the sacraments do not work without supernatural faith. The sacraments are not

magic tricks. The sacraments are the power to cooperate with grace. Sacraments are the power
