Steven, I'm on my scooter. It's like four degrees out because I had to drop my car for an inspection.

0:08.1

That's right. An inspection. So then I scooted back to work and it's freaking cold, man.

0:14.2

So Stephen, I had to scoot from the car place because I had to drop my Tesla off at the Don's Auto Body or whatever the hell

0:24.1

they're called around the corner down the street near my other house because you have to do

0:27.9

inspections every year here in PA. You have to pay for them too, right? Yeah, you have to pay for

0:34.3

every inspection and it's like 12 degrees out. Well, it's like 22 degrees out and windy. So I mean, I scooted there. And obviously, that's cold. It's just I wasn't going to take an Uber. And then I scoot back and get my car when it's ready. It's not that bad. It takes me like eight or 10 minutes to do it. But it's just freaking cold.

0:54.0

You know, I have gloves, but the gloves get, then my fingers get cold inside the gloves.

1:00.6

I don't even know what the gloves are there for. I think the wind chill alone is like 10 degrees or

1:04.8

something. It's not, it's not, not very nice out there right now. It was 14 degrees when I woke up today. And I also had to drop

1:13.5

off my car for an oil change this morning before work. And it was 16 degrees when I was waiting

1:18.0

for an Uber to pick me up. But I didn't scoot. Yeah. The Tesla doesn't do oil. Yeah. Yeah.

1:24.7

You're lucky there. So why don't we recap? I want to jump into the recap of the

1:29.2

the R1 versus R3 sensor video that we just put up. I know that there was some photons to photon stuff

1:36.3

that came out. We recorded this back in November. Well, I was going to say we actually filmed this

1:42.5

before his bill, the guy who runs photons to photos, before his findings came out.

1:48.0

And I was kind of nervous to post this video beforehand just because I had nothing to confirm it with all the findings that I did in studio.

1:56.0

But essentially everything he put out is exactly what I found to be true in studio with our testing.

2:02.2

So you found out that the true base ISO is 200, right?

2:06.3

That is a true gain stage. We did a cap test to see where the proper gain stages are.

2:11.2

And it looks like 200 and 1600 are the actual gain stages for the R1, but 100 is still great.

2:19.6

And what I don't understand is he's considering 200 the base ISO, the true base ISO for

2:25.0

the R1, although 100 ISO still gives you better dynamic range.
