Fill in the blank. It's blank that Diana Rusini had a weekend report for the athletic that

in addition to the New York Giants, and we all heard about,

the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and even the Pittsburgh Steelers all had internal

discussions about Marcus Freeman and that Freeman also, quote, seriously considered, end quote,

making the jump to the NFL before the news of his contract broke last week.

Yeah, to me it's a ticking time bomb, this whole situation. I think Marcus Freeman, if you asked me this a year ago, I would have told you, you know, I don't think Marcus Freeman is going to leave for the NFL for a good, at least six, seven years, I think is what I comfortably

would have said. And now I have no idea. I feel like it could be next year, it could be the year

after. And, you know, I don't know. I don't know how many more of these, these runs that we have

left with Marcus Freeman. and I think that's the

disheartening part is you know like I can't think of Notre Dame football without Marcus Freeman he's

been my favorite coach of my lifetime I don't think anyone's recruited better than him I think the

success obviously on the field speaks volumes. And so,

you know, it's only a matter of time when you coach football at Notre Dame and you're successful

and you recruit super well and you're super young and you're able to relate and connect to players.
