College football playoff executives voted unanimously today to change the seating for the playoffs for the upcoming 2025 season.

Teams are going to be seated directly by the rankings, 1 through 12, eliminating the concept that designated the top four seats to the four highest ranked

conference champions like last year. This also means that unlike last year, Notre Dame would

be eligible to get a buy. So again, straight 1 through 12, Notre Dame, now eligible to have a first

round playoff by. Scale of of one to ten how much do you

like it if I could give you a hundred I would but I will say 10 out of 10 and the reason why I'm

so excited about this is one um this was my biggest grievance with the the playoff you know

last year uh with the 12 team format I know, last year with the 12-team format.

I thought it was the silliest thing.

And now you're actually ranking teams based off of pure merit and not just off of, you know,

winning potentially a conference championship.

And, you know, also I just feel like this, again, kind of kills the whole argument

that a lot of people use of,

well, Notre Dame's got to be in a conference if they're going to make it far into the

playoff and have success in the playoff.
