Summary
In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham and Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple Double") are back in studio talking about the latest news and notes around the USC football program and discussing the newest major changes to the college football landscape.
This offseason has been the most impactful in college football history with many of the historical NCAA rules getting shot down by the courts, the death of the Pac-12, blueblood programs switching conferences and Nick Saban retiring, leading to an extended coaching carousel that impacted football at all levels. The latest court ruling has essentially removed any and all Name, Image and Likeness rules from the NCAA, allowing collectives to provide any incentives that they want to players and prospects and the NCAA can't do anything about it. The USC athletic department was one of the few programs following those now illegal rules, so we talk about how this could impact the Trojans recruiting efforts going forward.
The guys also take a look at USC's transfer portal class and rank all of the incoming players by potential impact on the 2024 roster.
