The right rookies win fantasy leagues.

0:13.2

So just avoid the ones I don't.

0:15.3

That is today's show talking through 42.

0:18.0

Yes, 42 first year players.

0:20.2

Their current standing on depth charts, what we thought of their preseason performances, and our expectations for their rookie seasons. The rookies are sometimes the best picks and the worst picks that you can make. It used to be like five years ago. The rookies were so underpriced that you just pick any of them blindly. And it was a winning strategy. Now that rookies are being priced up, we actually have to decide, like, are we in or are we out? So a lot of the stuff is going to be based off what we've heard in camp and seen in the preseason action, but also a lot of the stuff that we thought about these players before, you know, they were drafted obviously matters a ton. And cuts just happened. Teams are down to 53 man rosters and trades on top of that with veterans moving ahead of some of these names. This is one of my favorite shows of the year. So hopefully you all enjoy it. And yes, easy game. Just draft the good ones. Avoid the bad ones. Instead of just listing the players and talking about them, I want to add another layer to this. And we'll see if this continues throughout the entire show. But I wanted to kind of tier them up into six different categories, all right, from top to bottom, instant impact, then optimistic, give it time, unmoved, some doubts, and then flat out, not this year. A fair grouping of six, do you think? Yep, let's do it. Okay. We're going to go an ADP order from your home leagues. Again, this is aggregated from ESPN, Sleeper, and Yahoo. So you can use this as actionable information for your drafts. And that means first round pick, Ash and Genty is our first conversation, Hayden. Instant impact, I feel. Yeah, if he's not at instant impact, I don't know who else we would put up there. Yeah, we're talking to one of the better prospects in a long time, reminding of like Ezekiel Elliott as a prospect, like 90th percent all BMI, going to have break a lot of tackles that average almost 200 yards per game last year. And in the preseason, he basically didn't come off the field for a single snap with Gino Smith. So he looks like he's going to be a bell cow. He's like catching passes, which he did two seasons ago at Boise State. So like, yeah, he's going to be a stud. What we have discussed since Ashen Genti was the pick for the Raiders is that no matter if Chip Kelly had a top three scoring offense or the 27th scoring offense, he was, you know, top eight in rushing attempts out there.

2:23.3

Plus, you've seen Ash and Genty be utilized as like a downfield receiver.

2:27.9

That's not going to happen even every single week, but they're at least practicing it during the preseason.

2:32.0

And this is a full, every down workhorse.

2:36.3

It just depends on how good the Raiders are. But at least he has shown those receiving

2:40.5

jobs during his sophomore year of college and now in the NFL. Okay, next is Omar and Hampton,

2:45.5

who's actually the 11th pick of the third round in home leagues right now.

2:48.5

So Najee Harris was actually activated to the 53 man roster. So they're expecting him to at least be out there within the first four weeks. Otherwise, it would have kept him on the NFI list. You're either optimistic or instant impact, kind of depending on how close you want to have him to Gentie. I don't think he's in the same tier as Gentie and fantasy, but I do think Hampton's going to be a kind of mini bell cow. And just why we figure out exactly how much they're going to use Najee Harris. The history of Greg Roman is multiple running backs in the system. But Amarian Hampton, his whole history has been a top dog catching pass. He's got the size to be the goal line back as well. So I think instant impact is fair for him. I would draft in like the three, four turn.

3:26.0

To me, he has to be instant impact.

3:27.6

And while the production might have been better if the Rayshon Slater injury did not happen.

3:32.9

And Mackay Beckton didn't miss three weeks of practice as their new starting right guard.

3:37.4

He is still going to be an instant player for this team.

3:42.9

Look, a year ago, people were so concerned that this offense was not going to throw the football, that they were just going to run it

3:48.4

over and over and over again. And now you get the guy that they spent a first round pick on to

3:52.5

just run the football over and over. Plus, you know what, like 63 receptions over the last few years,

3:57.3

maybe it was closer to 50 at UNC. So he has some receiving chops onto it. And while we have

4:03.4

gotten some positive news on Najee Harris, that contract was very minimal. And after that,

4:08.2

they added Amar and Hampton. He should be, again, a 18 touch player at the very least heading into week one. Yeah, I'll be in our top 20 in week one rankings. I think that throughout the season is just going to separate himself from Nogger. He's just as much faster. And yeah, 29 and 38 receptions last two years at 220 pounds. Like these are the guys you won fantasy. All right. One of my favorite prospects in the entire draft, I actually had him as running back two. He's going as the 12th pick in the fourth round in these combined friends and family leagues. That is Trevion Henderson of the New England Patriots. Your thoughts on his current standings and what would you expect from it? Yeah, in my week one rankings, he'll be inside the top 30. There's a lot of room to run here.
