Hello and welcome to episode 861 of the official Establish the Run.com podcast.

0:17.6

My name is Adam Levittan.

0:18.7

As always, joined by Evan Silva.

0:20.8

And rookies are the buzz of the

0:23.0

fantasy football world. Shiny New Object Syndrome is in full effect. I've been infected as well by

0:30.3

rookie fever. Anyways, Evan, how's it going today? Yeah, it's a fun show that we do every year,

0:35.6

analyzing rookie landing spots.

0:43.4

We'll primarily focus on redraft analysis, but we'll definitely mix in some dynasty takes.

0:48.8

I've been in the lab looking at the Sims, looking at the analytics, rocking the old school rhodoviz sweatshirt.

0:51.4

Yeah, let's get after it.

0:52.8

Yes, as Evan noted, on today's show, we are going to talk

0:56.1

landing spots for this year's rookie class. The way I like to think about fantasy is kind of

1:02.2

segmented by format, you know, for long-term dynasty leagues where you can hold players forever.

1:07.7

I would say talent should be 70 or 80% of the evaluation and the rest is landing spot.

1:13.5

For season long, talent is maybe 40 or 50% rest is landing spot. And of course, for the great game

1:19.7

of DFS, talent matters some, but the projected opportunity is a majority of what matters.

1:25.2

Now, I want to be very clear. The way you earn opportunity in the NFL

1:29.4

is by being good at football, by being a talent, by being open so your quarterback throws it to you,

1:34.9

by being a freak so your coach schemes you 20 touches, et cetera. So there's a lot of nuance here,

1:40.0

but what we're going to do is rank the landing spots for this year's top 26 rookies.

1:46.2

This is roughly 70% focused on season long, aka 2025 only.

1:51.4

And 30% of the ranking is based on dynasty, aka long-term outlook.
