La ila tu l'Qadri khayru min al-Fishah

Allah has blessed us as being part of the Ummah of the Qur'an

wa salatu wa salamu ala Rasulillahi wa ala ala alihi wa sahbihi ajmain

This month of Ramadan is not just the month of fasting

It is the month of the Qur'an

Shahru Ramavan, al-Lady unzile fi il-Kor'an

Allah says in Suratul Bakr that the month of Ramavan

is the month in which the Qur'an was revealed

and that's the only time Shahru Ramavan

is mentioned in the Qur'an in its name like that

and immediately after that Allah does not speak about the fasting

but rather he speaks about the Qur'an

Now one of the things we need to realize is

for Allah to give so much of importance to the Qur'an

every single year and to let this month come back every year

He could have said it's once every ten years or like Hajj

once a lifetime you guys have to fast

No, He said every year this month of Ramavan will keep coming back
