We praise Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, we send blessings and salutations upon Muhammad,

May Allah bless all of us and our offspring, those who come up to the last day.

My brothers and sisters, Zaid was a common name amongst the companions of Muhammad,

May Allah bless all of us.

One of them was Zaid Ibn Harifah, who we will be speaking about tomorrow in Shah Allah,

if Allah gives us the opportunity to do that.

This evening we want to start with another Zaid who was known as Zaid Ibn Thabit,

Radya Allahu An. He was from Al-Madin Al-Munawara and he was from amongst the Ansar.

He was approximately 11 or 12 years old when Muhammad,

when Muhammad, O Allah, made the Hijra to Madinamunawara and he had accepted Islam

being an orphan with the rest of his family on that particular day.

And Muhammad, O Allah, made a du'af for him.

So he was a young boy, age of approximately 11 when he accepted Islam

and he had gone with his family to see Muhammad, O Allah, when he had come to Madinamunawara

just after the Hijra. And this is when he accepted Islam.

Zaid Ibn Thabit Ibn Duhak al Ansari, Radya Allahu An.

May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him.

He was a person whom Muhammad, O Allah, made a du'af of goodness for as he accepted Islam

and he was quite young.

So a few years later, approximately two years later,

the battle of Bader took place.
