I was inspired to submit these stories after listening to so many

others tell about their experiences with seemingly prophetic dreams or visions.

I don't believe in spending energy on trying to unravel these mysteries, but I have had

several experiences that cause me to believe that I have some sort of ability for predicting

upcoming tragedies, and I'd like to share some of these.

Every now and then, the name of an acquaintance or someone that I know, but don't speak too

often will randomly pop into my head.

It'll just come to me over and over.

I'll wonder how they're doing, and then maybe within a few days I'll find out something

bad has happened to them, or that they've passed away.

For example, there was this guy I knew from college, we'll call him Elliot.

Elliot and I had a campus job and several classes together, but after graduation, we fell

out of touch, apart from some light social media interaction.

It had been a long time since I had seen or spoken with him, and one day, while I was

at the gym, his name floated into my head, Elliot, Elliot, what's he up to, I wonder.

This carried on for several days, Elliot just repeating in my head, then one day a mutual

friend posted something on her Instagram page about how sad she was to have heard the

news, how she had known him her whole life, and couldn't believe it.

Yes, Elliot had passed away.
