Gino Smith, Kenny Pickett, A. and O'Connell, who should be QB1 the rest of the 2025 season?

Very proud of that fact, very proud of the fact that the show continues to grow each and every

day.

0:35.5

That's because of your support, Raider Nation, and obviously the job that my man Ari does behind the scenes, making sure we look good and sound good each and every day on the YouTube page. So we shout out Ari. We appreciate him. He's on Twitter at Ari Produces. You can hit me up as well at your boy Q254. And if you want to be a part of the show, as many of you do, we got the Lockdown Raider podcast voicemail line for you at 707-654-4-6993.

We'll hear from you to close out the show.

A lot of great feedback, calls and text. We'll get as many in as possible coming up to close things out. Segment number two, we'll talk about Gino Smith. We'll talk about Kenny Pickett. will throw in Aden O'Connell and talk about who should be QB1.

1:10.8

And there could be an argument for all three, maybe a combination of two, or maybe just one, as the Raiders have rolled so far this season. But we'll break that down coming up segment number two. Segment number one, just news and notes of the day, as we always do. And we'll jump right into it after I tell you about the title sponsor of the show, and that's Fandul. If you want to be right in the middle of action this season,

visit Fandle.com and place your NFL live bets all season long. So let's go ahead and get into the pretty significant injury update, and it has to do with cornerback, Kyu, Blue Kelly. We knew the injury was pretty significant when he left the game on Sunday. He left on a cart.

2:00.4

He was backpedaling. Then coming out of his break, you saw him go down. So you knew it was a pretty significant injury. Comes to find out, according to Mike Garofello from the NFL network, that it was a torn Patel tendon. The good news for him is that he didn't have any ligament damage, so that'll help the recovery process.

2:04.3

But Kyu Blue Kelly's season is completely done for the Raiders. This is his first full season with the Silver and Black. He played in four games last year in 2024 for the Raiders. But this was a season where he had a real opportunity to be, you know, a contributing player on that Raiders defense. And I know it's been up and down for him. It hasn't been great the whole time, but he has come up with, what, six past defense and three interceptions. So you like that production as long as, you know, the guy's creating some turnovers, but you wanted to hope that he was going to continue to develop and grow and potentially be someone. Now it's going to have to be on pause until he's able to recover from

2:35.2

this knee injury, which means that you'll see a lot more of the third round pick out of Iowa State.

2:39.7

Darian Porter, a guy that you saw on Sunday, and he was splitting reps with Cayu. Now he'll be

2:44.3

the main guy. He'll be starting just like he started on Sunday. And look, I thought he gained a lot

2:49.5

of confidence on Sunday. Saw a couple

2:51.4

past defense against guys like Cortland Sutton, thought he did a really good job, was able to

2:56.0

break up the pass without having a pass interference penalty called on him. So I thought that was a

3:00.4

big deal. He's got the size. He's got to speed to be a good corner in the league. He's just

3:06.5

got to continue to learn the position. Remember, he's still new to the position. He's just got to continue to learn the position.
