Enemy Lines. Tonight's episode, the new Temple Endowment movie. There's been a great deal of

controversy surrounding this brand new Temple Endowment version that's been instituted throughout

all the temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in this month, the month of March

2023. Somebody went into an endowment, filmed the entire thing surreptitiously, and then somebody

put it up on the internet on YouTube. This all happened in the last few days. Well, it wasn't long

after the entire endowment was put up for public consumption on YouTube that the Church filed a

copyright strike against the person who put it up that video was taken down. It is no longer available

on YouTube to my understanding. The good news is that a number of people while it was still up on

YouTube downloaded it, and I have managed to obtain a copy of the download of the entire new

temple endowment. Now, I haven't been to the temple in around 10 years or so at this point,

but I started going to the temple in November of 1979, right after I got to Provo, Utah,

and entered into the Missionary Training Center, preparatory to my going to Japan. See, I still

got the lingo down. It's been a long time, but I remember. So, going to Japan and went to the

endowment, my first endowment, in the Provo temple. So, that was back in 1979. This had the full

on names, signs, tokens, and penalties. It was not the earliest version of the endowment,

but definitely an earlier version of the endowment. Lots of things in that endowment that are

not contained in the endowment today, or indeed, past 1990 when a number of really significant

changes were made. I did the penalties. I did the five points of fellowship through the veil.

I did the pay, lay, ale, and I got to see the Protestant minister, the entire character,

who was sort of the dupe of Satan, the hireling, of Satan to teach false doctrine to Adam and Eve.

He got taken out in 1990. No more Protestant minister. But, as I say, it's been a long time since I
