Tonight's episode may be one of the most important episodes I have ever recorded, because

I have uncovered evidence that even as I speak, on this day, September 17th, 2022, when

I'm recording this podcast, even as I speak, the LDS Church appears to be engaged in a high

level attempt to de-mythologize certain aspects of its history, and by de-mythologize what

I mean is, they are engaged in a concerted effort to delete the miraculous aspects of certain

episodes in church history. I want to share with you the evidence I have for that allegation,

and then let you make your own decisions. I want to share with you three examples of what

I'm talking about. Now, the first example is something that has been going on for a while,

but it has recently come back to the surface courtesy of President Iring. As anyone who

has been a Mormon for any length of time knows, the Church teaches that one of the main benefits

of the restoration is that we have a prophet at the head of the Church who receives revelation

directly from God and then gives that revelation to the members of the Church and even to the

world. The prophet at the head of the Church, currently President Russell M. Nelson, is

likened to Moses or other ancient prophets of old and their encounters with deity and the

way we read about in the Bible, they receive revelation from God and gave it to the people,

the classic example of course is Moses going up the Mount Sinai in order to receive the 10

commandments which he does from God personally at the top of the mountain, and then Moses comes

down with the 10 commandments to give them to the people. But even while the Church has historically

taught this manner of receiving revelation for the Church by the prophet, more recently,

another narrative is surfacing and being bandied about and is being talked about in other venues.
