As one of only seven of those apostles still living, I feel obliged to share what led to the family proclamation for the

Awesome. We just played for asking. Awesome.

We just played for you some audio from Elder Oaks in this past October 2017 General Conference,

and we're going to jump into that but not for a little bit

because we need to set it up and we need to give some context to the idea of how

the proclamation came about and there's a lot of data that goes into this.

We, maybe RFM, maybe you can help inform us, there was a rational faith blog that we're going to borrow heavily from maybe inform the listener of what that is and where they can find it

Oh sure it's irrational faith

It's called from Amici to Ohana, the Hawaiian Roots of the Family Proclamation.

It is an article that was written by Laura Compton back in May of 2015.

And although you might not know it from the title if you read the article what

you'll find out is that Laura Compton has very clearly set forth the well

basically the political backdrop against which the proclamation

on the family was written.

Yeah exactly and so today we thought there's nothing out there that really dives into how the proclamation,

the family, a proclamation to the world, was created and what was the backdrop for it.
