Today is Thursday, April 23rd, 2020.

Once again, I am in the midst of my effort

to put out a new podcast every day,

at least every weekday during the present emergency of the worldwide

coronavirus pandemic.

Many of my listeners are having to shelter at home for an extended period and it is my goal to help in any way I can to do my bit for the effort

to help those sheltering at home by producing a new podcast every weekday.

I am currently in my fifth week of producing such podcasts.

Now what do I mean by the title of today's podcast,

the essay that started it all?

Well, the essay I'm referring to is not an essay on the church's website.

It is an essay that I wrote a number of years ago. Prior to beginning

this podcast, it is an essay I wrote dealing with the Adam God Theory and specifically

how it is that the LDS Church continues to be something

less than transparent in dealing with the issue of the Adam God Theory, which was a doctrine

at the time, the Adam God doctrine taught by the second president

and profit of the LDS Church, Brigham Young.

That essay went up, as I say a number of years ago on a blog site.

It had a little bit of popularity for a brief period of time.

It, like most blogs, got some degree of attention, and then of course over the ensuing days
