But before we get to tonight's podcast, we have some late news rolling in.

You may recall that yesterday, I had announced the fact that the second day of prayer and fasting held by the

LDS Church on Good Friday April 10th 2020 seemed to have done the trick of

turning away the tide of coronavirus deaths at least in the United States.

And not only did the number of deaths peak on Friday,

it began to go down dramatically after that,

thus leading to a number of Latter-day Saints

posting on Facebook

that the second day of prayer and fasting

held by the Church of Jesus Christ

of Latter-day Saints

had obviously had the desired effect.

Well, no sooner did that podcast go up yesterday.

Then I received from a listener to this podcast an update.

And unfortunately, this is bad news because it appears that the daily number of coronavirus deaths in the United States did not,

repeat not, continue to go down after that second day of fasting. Instead, on Tuesday, yesterday, April 14th, 2020, the death tally once again spiked.

In an article dated Tuesday, April 14th, entitled U.S US coronavirus death set single day

record increase we have the following US coronavirus deaths rose by at least 2,28

on Tuesday a single day record.
