we have some late-breaking news rolling in.

It appears that yes, the LDS Church has done it again.

The Worldwide Day of fasting held by the LDS Church on

Friday, April 10th, Good Friday of 2020 has turned back, repeat has turned back

the coronavirus. I am beginning to see reports of this flooding the

pages of Facebook. Here is one example. This end from Grace McClain regarding the

Worldwide Fast April 10th. I've been tracking how many deaths per day that have occurred.

I wanted to share what the numbers did after our fast on Friday.

They were the highest they've ever been the Friday we fasted but every day since then the death toll has

decreased I'm hoping the trend continues

accompanying this Facebook post is a chart containing the statistics of COVID-19 deaths in the United

States, which of course were increasing dramatically through the month of March and into

the month of April. April 7th, there were 1973 deaths.

April 8th, 1943 deaths.

On April 9th, there were 1901 deaths.

Wait a second, this appears to be going down prior to the fast. They are. April 7th, 1973 deaths. That's a high point, but then

it begins going down on April 8th to 1943 deaths. That's 30 deaths less. And then on April 9th it decreases again to

1901 deaths. So apparently it is going down prior to the Worldwide Day of fasting on April 10th. This is a bit confusing for me.

But on Friday, April 10th, the day of Worldwide fasting, the number of deaths in the United States related to COVID-19
