You know I've been studying Mormonism for the past four decades ever since I was baptized in 1978. It will be 40 years come next June and in those 40 years I have studied the

ins and outs of Mormonism in depth backward and forward and toward the conclusion of this 40 years I am reluctantly coming to the

conclusion that the dominant narrative of the Church of Jesus Christ of

Latter-day Saints is not what it claims to be.

In short, we have leaders of the Church who claim the title of prophets, seers, and revelators, but I don't see a lot of prophesying happening, I don't see a lot of seeing

going on, and I certainly don't hear about any revealing of things going on.

Now, I want to add at this point

that I am only talking about the place where I am at right now.

I am not trying to coerce anybody else to come to this conclusion. I am not trying to persuade anybody else to come to

this conclusion. I am not even trying to suggest that anybody else come to this conclusion.

This is simply where I am at at this point in my life.

This is a snapshot of where I am based on my current research, understanding, and based

upon the witness of the Holy Ghost to my soul.

It does not mean this is where I was yesterday,

and it does not mean it is where I will be tomorrow.

All my conclusions are purely provisional.

They are tentative. They are

subject to change based upon new information. And I am constantly working to

increase both the breadth and depth of my information so that the conclusions I draw

will have a better chance of being correct. But until that perfect day comes when all
