The Christian world believed that the Bible was the complete word of God.

which he claims to be scripture on a par with the Bible.

The Christian world of his day believed that the Bible was without error.

Bam, Joseph Smith produces the Joseph Smith translation or inspired version of the Bible

in which he goes to the Bible and corrects it from beginning to end. He makes additions, deletions, and revisions

throughout the Bible. But not only did Joseph Smith contradict the Christianity of his day in many of its fundamental beliefs.

Joseph Smith also contradicted himself in his short prophetic ministry of 15 years from 1829 when he dictated the Book of Mormon to 1844

when he was killed time and time again Joseph Smith contradicted things that he had said previously.
