Welcome to Rules for Retrogrades, here with Christopher Plants and Mr. Patrick Coffin, our North American friend.

He's a Canadian.

We're going to talk about America today, thankfulness, patriotism, Roman Catholicism, where it fits in with all of it.

But first, let's say a big hello to our

Canadian friend from Canada, Mr. Pat Coffin. Thank you very much. Chris and Tim, good to be with you.

And I do recommend that you and all my American friends learn French now so that when the invasion

does go down, you'll get better treatment.

We don't want another repeat of the War of 1812 and the unmentionable humiliation that you suffered there.

So, yeah, I mean, I've been in America.

I've been in America since 1994, finally getting around to applying for citizenship, which in my case means dual, the Canadian government and the American have a unique relationship where the Canadian

government doesn't accept the renunciation of citizenship.

So I can travel under two different passports.

But yeah, I mean, America is definitely the weight, the weight of the West now that Europe is kind of slowly going or quickly going the way of the dodo bird as far as Christian culture goes.
