Rabbi Elkanah Shmotkin is the executive director of Jewish Educational Media (JEM), a multi-faceted organization dedicated to archival preservation and video presentation of the life and times of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.

 

Under Rabbi Shmotkin's leadership, Jewish Educational Media has evolved into a dynamic, multi-faceted organization at the crossroads of archival preservation, video production, and cutting-edge web, social media, and mobile app projects.

 

At the core of Rabbi Shmotkin's work is a commitment to studying the Lubavitcher Rebbe's teachings and life story and presenting them in engaging, informative, and inspiring ways. In addition to writing many film scripts, Rabbi Shmotkin is Editor-in-Chief of several books on the Rebbe, including My Story and Seeds of Wisdom, and co-authored the book Early Years.
