Welcome to the Tudors Dynasty podcast’s miniseries on queenship! I’m your host Dr. Johanna Strong, and in this series, we’ll be traveling through time and around the world to learn more about global queenship.

In this episode, I’m joined by Dr. Ellie Woodacre and Amy Saunders for an introduction to queenship more generally and to how queenship is reflected in historical narratives. Ellie is a Reader in Renaissance History at the University of Winchester and the founder of the Royal Studies Network and their Kings & Queens conference series. She is an international authority on queenship. Amy is a Ph.D. at the University of Winchester, researching representations of the Stuart monarchy in heritage.
