My name is Andrew Siciliano back in the home office today after the Browns fall to the Bengals,

17 to 16 in the home opener, week one at Huntington Bankfield. Yeah, it was gut wrenching. It was

a punch in the gut. It was a kick in the, it was all of the things that you thought it could be. But there's a lot of positives out of that game as well. I'm not just trying to sell your sunshine. Let's lay out what we're going to do every Monday. Like last year, we're going to be here every Monday telling you what we saw from the booth, yours truly, Nathan Zaguerre, Gerard Sherry down on the sideline. When it wasn't good, we'll tell you it wasn't good. When it was great, we'll tell you it was great. When we think there's a gray area in the middle, we'll tell you there's a gray area. There's a lot of good to take from that Brown's loss. I'm not saying that you should start keeping a scoreboard for moral victories. I'm not. They lost the game. They should have won the game. But there were just a couple of little things that didn't happen. And if they did, obviously like hitting a field goal and an extra point, they would have won the game. It's time to move on. heartbreaking? Did you watch Sunday night football? Exactly. The Ravens had a 15-point lead

with four minutes remaining. So what you have on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium 1 o'clock,

Bronze Radio Network, is two teams that know they should have won their week one games.

How that plays out, we'll see. Let's focus on the kids, can we? Because the kids are all right.

That's my takeaway from the game. We could beat up Andre Schmidt if you want. Yes, you make the kicks. You win the game. There are a lot of other things that could have gone right, however, where it wouldn't have come down to Andre Schmidt. Let's run down what went right. First three plays of the game. That is when the Browns have the ball. Bengals had the ball. They march right down the field. A lot of things the Browns defensively did on that drive was the Chase Brown drive. They cleaned up afterwards. And for that point on, they pretty much shut the Bengals down. But the first three offensive plays of the drive, when the Browns get it back about midway through the first quarter, it went Samson-Fannon-Bond. Get used to it. Samson-Fannon-Bond. Rookie,

rookie, rookie. And that drive ended with another rookie, a guy that just got here a week ago,

Rocket Sanders, Rahim Sanders, punching it in with a fourth-down conversion. His second His second fourth down conversion on that drive.

Get used to the kids performing and performing well this year. And the same goes for Mason

Graham, who Kevin Stefansky said on Monday played a very good game, and for Carson

Squessinger, who was all over the field. Squessinger led the Browns in tackles with eight, and he had a key pop on Chase Brown,

on a third down late in the game in Brown's territory when the Bengals were driving.

Brown motioned out of the backfield into the slot.
