Sean, it's great to be back at the kitchen table. Of course, our country is different today.

Maybe it's always, it's been different for a while, but we have all the proof we need in the

verdict that came down yesterday, 34 counts guilty on all charges for the former President

Donald Trump. And I noticed when we got up on, for those of you are watching us and not

listening to us, we're both wearing black, not on purpose, but I did have friends.

I was going to make the same comment. I noticed that we looked like we were both wearing black. It was not intentional, but I did have friends. I was going to make the same comment. I noticed we looked like it was not intentional.

I'll tell you what.

I had friends write me, text me and say multiple friends say I'm flying my flag at half

mast and some of them took their flags down and said,

it just doesn't mean anything to me anymore today.

What does it mean to be America?

And I think that's the situation.

I think a lot of us sort of woke up a little bit shell-shocked by what happened,

even though we knew it was a real possibility.

You're in Manhattan, and you got a jury of, you know, 12 people who probably hate the president because everybody in Manhattan does.

And he couldn't get a trial anywhere else.

And it came back guilty.

But it just feels like we're in Latin America or Russia or, you know, we're in Cuba.

I mean, what the hell is going on here? So that's why in this conversation, Rachel, there's a lot of focus that's on, you know, the evidence that came in, and the unfairness of the judge. The sort of legal stuff, right? Yeah. And if you focus so hard on that, you can't pull your head up and look around and say, what's happened?
