Summary

Yesterday, America experienced a rush of emotions after former President Donald Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records related to a hush money payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, becoming the first United States President to be convicted of a felony. So what does this mean for the election come November? And more importantly, what does this mean for the American psyche as a whole? Sean and Rachel sit down and unpack their thoughts on the verdict in this case, how they believe it will impact who becomes our next president, and why they feel this entire trial revealed major cracks in our country's foundation. even though we knew it was a real possibility.

You're in Manhattan, and you got a jury of, you know, 12 people who probably hate the president because everybody in Manhattan does.

1:32.0

And he couldn't get a trial anywhere else.

1:34.4

And it came back guilty.

But it just feels like we're in Latin America or Russia or, you know, we're in Cuba.

I mean, what the hell is going on here? So that's why in this conversation, Rachel, there's a lot of focus that's on, you know, the evidence that came in, and the unfairness of the judge. The sort of legal stuff, right? Yeah. And if you focus so hard on that, you can't pull your head up and look around and say, what's happened?
