Hi, Dorothy. I'm Abby. I am curious what your advice would be for jumping kind of back on the bandwagon of healthy, non-toxic, but grace-based living. I had a traumatic birth of my daughter and following that very much just like fell off the bandwagon of healthy eating and living. And that just felt like way too much for me in the season

0:21.8

that I was in. And taking care of my body and my health and that of my families was like the

0:26.8

least priority on my list, it felt like. But now I'm standing like at the bottom of this mountain

0:33.2

that I've climbed before and really just like not sure where to start or to find motivation for the climb

0:39.1

because I feel like I've already done this and it feels like a lot of work and I'm just not sure

0:44.9

how to even start when you already know the steps to take. So I'm just curious if you had any

0:51.5

motivation or advice or could address that.

Gosh, I believe with this question so much.

1:31.3

What do you do when a big life event, like having a baby or a traumatic birth or something else, a loss of a loved one?

1:39.9

Something really throws you off track. You're, you know, chugging along, doing the things, making changes, trying to live a healthier lifestyle.

2:19.5

And then, for lack of a better word, ish hits the fan, okay? And you're like, wait a second, I don't have time to be thinking about seed oils and avoiding plastic. So I've just got to, I'm like in survival mode. The amount that I relate to that is difficult to even articulate because I really found myself in a similar situation. And I think a lot of us have been there in one way or another. Maybe it's not a traumatic birth for you, but maybe something else happened in your life from a professional standpoint, from a financial standpoint, from a family standpoint, that really, you know, kind of made focusing on your own health or cleaning up your lifestyle or whatever, kind of, it went down the totem pole in order in terms of priority or priorities. And suddenly like survival or

2:25.4

healing or crisis management or, you know, getting out of debt or whatever, it became

2:30.5

the top priority that suddenly took precedent over everything else. And I think this is

2:35.2

something that's worth talking about. And I don't think we talk about it a lot because sometimes when

2:40.5

we hear about low talk swaps or we hear about, you know, better ingredients or we hear about the

2:46.1

problems with our food or big food systems or whatever, it can seem like that is like the number one most

2:52.6

important thing. And while our health is absolutely important and the health of our family is

2:57.4

absolutely important and, you know, should be a priority in our life. It's a lot easier to make

3:02.9

that a priority and to keep our focus and to stay motivated on that, when there aren't other massive things
