Summary

Curious about how long to wear a CGM, or if you even need one? In this episode, Jess walks through who benefits most from continuous glucose monitoring, how long to wear one to actually learn something, and what to do with all that data. You’ll hear stories from clients who used their CGMs to connect the dots between their habits and blood sugar trends, and tips for when to pause if the tracking becomes too much.

Welcome back to another episode of the Diabetes Digital Podcast. I am so excited to announce that we are going to be expanding our podcast to weekly episodes. So every other week for the rest of this year, we're going to do our longer form episode, which is about 20 to 30 minutes. Typically we have a guest or it's going to be Wendy and myself.

0:22.2

And then on the other weeks, we're going to do minisodes. So they're going to happen biweekly,

0:28.0

where we're going to cover a question that we get asked by our listeners or by our patients or that

0:34.9

the dietitians bring up in the case conferences that comes up a lot.

0:38.7

And so this will be a nice chance to just connect with the community, answer all your questions.

0:43.7

And we're going to rotate who answers the question.

0:46.7

So every other week I'll answer and then Wendy will answer on the following weeks.

So I'm just going to jump in with our first question, our first mini. So again, these episodes are

1:26.2

going to be shorter, about five to ten

1:28.1

minutes, just sound bites with kind of one idea and one takeaway, which we also think will be

1:33.4

helpful because there's so many podcasts out there and so much information. And we just want to

1:39.5

give you kind of one sound bite, like a fully flushed out soundbite on a topic at a time so that you can

1:47.6

use that information and incorporate it in your life in a way that we might do in one-on-one

1:53.0

counseling instead of overwhelming you with a ton of information.

So this first question comes from one of our lovely dietitians and also our outreach manager, Jenny,

2:02.7

who is integral to planning our podcast. She comes up with a lot of the episode ideas. She manages

the podcast, coordinates all the guests, does the blog post. We love Jenny. And anyways,
